Aimee was born in the beautiful city of Cape Town, a place that is also a source of her daily inspiration. She started her tertiary education attending Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design followed by Act Cape Town to study theatre and film.Aimee started working for a year and decided to include the art of makeup in her studies. Already being extremely creative, makeup opened a whole new world and platform that she couldn't even imagine.
She attended PMU Makeup School for Fashion and Photography Makeup and in 2007 received her International Diploma.Aimee then started working for MAC Cosmetics, which in hindsight ended up being the stepping stone she needed to embark on her journey as a freelance make up artist. She has since had the opportunity to work for Companies like Film Africa Worldwide (Pty) Ltd and Sony Music Africa (Pty) Ltd to name just a few.
Today Aimee says she feels extremely fortunate to call herself a professional makeup artist.
"I love all that makeup has to offer… whether I am on a movie set, on a fashion shoot or with a blushing bride, I am in my happy place!" - Aimee Moore Ackers

May 29, 2019 at 11:22 pmWhenever people get married I tend to refer the bride to use Aimee Moore Ackers as the Bride’s make-up artist. You are going to spend a lot of money on the venue, the photographer etc.. but people tend to neglect the make-up and hair stylists. Photos are all that you will have left of the day. You will need someone to not only make you look fantastic but will make you feel great too. Aimee was there on my special day, she was calm and professional. My day was even more special with her in it.. I will recommend her services to everyone that’s getting married!!
