The property offers several function rooms, beautiful accommodation and large grounds with magnificent views of the Franschhoek mountains, winelands and surrounds. Set on a private 2 hectare piece of land, Sandstone House is just over an hour's drive from Cape Town International Airport, making it a sought after destination for weddings and international events and shoots.

Nestled amongst rolling mountain ranges in a tranquil quiet part of Franschhoek, the property can offer guests total privacy. 360 Degrees views of the surrounding Franschhoek valley form a spectacular backdrop for pictures and afford guests with views that is unparalleled. Sandstone House is only 2km away from Franschhoek main, therefore still provides easy access to the village centre, restaurants and shops.

The property and accommodations is available for exclusive hire for weddings , events , film and photo shoots and lends a sense of glamour, style, modern sophistication and elegance. The Estate has also been featured on Top Billing for its magnificent gardens and surrounds, and has been host to international film crews and shoots, recently to The Bachelor Series Franchise from Sweden.

Weddings & Events

The Venue offers unique wedding and event package options, including Classic Vintage Car Hire, Marquee, Opulent Decor and Art Elements, Wine and much more.

Venue Capacity

Inside area 20 - 60 guests can comfortably be accommodated in the large sunroom or spacious lounge and dining room.

Outside area The venue has a lovely marquee that can be erected outside the sunroom area to accommodate up to 100 guests.

Tables, chairs and lounge pockets can be placed under the trees in the garden and on the pool patio, making this the ideal spot for pre-drinks and canapés.

Ceremony

On a beautiful day, the ceremony can be held next to the pool or dam with the bride walking down the long passage way and a vocalist or violinist overhead in the upstairs balcony. The magnificent Franschhoek mountains and surrounding valley will be your backdrop. A mirrored aisle can be placed across the pool for that touch of drama and breathtaking entrance that every bride deserves on her wedding day.

Wedding Reception, Dinner Parties, Pre Wedding Events

The large dining room leading onto the spacious lounge is the ideal setting for an elegant dinner party. Easy flow between all the entertainment areas creates the perfect setting for a cocktail party and guests to mingle. Guests can also sit an relax in the whiskey room whilst listening to live music on the Grand Piano.

Note that cutlery, crockery, glassware, tables and chairs need to be hired for groups larger than 18 guests.

Wines

Sandstone House produces their own wine on the Estate, available for exclusive purchase and can include a custom wine label for your wedding or event. Ask about this when enquiring.

Vintage Classic Cars

The property owns 4 unique classic vintage cars available as bridal cars and for shoots or picture taking. The cars are all beautifully maintained and concourse condition.

Accommodation

Sandstone House offers luxurious accommodation with an abundance of entertainment options to suit discerning guests.

The grounds also feature a tennis court available for guests to use and lush green lawns ideal for picnic setups or even morning yoga sessions.

The property as a whole can accommodate 16 guests.

With a security entrance ,high gates and towering trees, guests can be assured of total privacy and security at their event and during their stay on the Estate.

Sandstone Manor House

Offers 6 luxurious bedrooms, all en-suite, with a large lounge, formal dining room with private wine cellar, family lounge, kitchen with large eating area, sunroom that leads out onto the patio and magnificent gardens surrounding the house. Also a study, hi-tech entertainer's kitchen with walk-in cold room and intimate bar.

The large 15m x 30m sparkling pool with patio area leads onto several garden areas that are exquisitely designed and maintained, with several seating areas and beautiful, one of a kind art and sculpture pieces.

Private Villa

The 2 bedrooms villa sleeps 4, and boasts its own private swimming pool amongst the vineyards. Beautifully decorated and spacious with double en - suite bathrooms.
